Mission

As urban living continues to grow, so do the challenges of city life. Urban Planti is dedicated to addressing these challenges by creating green solutions that promote cleaner air, healthier lifestyles, and a stronger sense of community. Let us help you transform your urban space into a lush, rejuvenating environment.

WHAT WE DO

At Urban Planti, we craft vibrant green spaces that thrive in urban environments. Starting with a personalized consultation, we design and install your perfect plant oasis, followed by expert maintenance for lasting beauty and health. Our services include indoor plant styling, garden design, and the creation of food and herb gardens, all aimed at enhancing aesthetics, improving indoor air quality, and boosting personal well-being. We work with homeowners, renters, businesses, and institutions to bring nature's beauty into every setting.

meet Cheryl Browne

Growing up near Vancouver's stunning urban parks, I developed a lifelong love for nature. Now based in New York City, I have over 25 years of experience in edible gardening and natural living, with professional training in Permaculture and coursework from the New York City Farm School and Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

As the founder of Urban Planti, I specialize in creating green solutions for urban spaces. My passion for houseplants, growing food and medicine, and teaching workshops drives me to help others transform their environments into lush, healthy, and rejuvenating spaces.

earth care, people care, fair share.

Our processes are based on the universal 12 principles of Permaculture. These principles are based on the three ethics of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. Permaculture ethics are distilled from research into community ethics, learning from cultures that have existed in relative balance with their environment for much longer than more recent civilisations. This does not mean that we should ignore the great teachings of modern times, but in the transition to a sustainable future, we need to consider values and concepts outside the current social norm.
